We’re on Plainview and cannot tell if it’s Bowstring or Tap Yard, or (lord help us) both! It’s a loud bass thumping.

Officer Peterson of RPD told me tonight that the noise ordinance in Raleigh was suspended on August 8th so there is NO noise ordinance at all in Raleigh currently, and the business owners know it and are taking advantage of it in the Glenwood South area (apparently, Bowstring as well!). The officer told me they are waiting for the new noise ordinance to take effect Jan 1st.

It is totally unacceptable (and unbelievable) that the entire city has no protection from extreme noise until January! We deserve answers from the police department and the city council.

I was the second person to call tonight. Hoping others will as well. I am wondering if they’re feeling emboldened because it’s as loud as it has ever been. My son was afraid of it and he had to turn on a noise machine for him to go to bed. We can hear it over the TV.
