Good evening, CERTizens! At Saturday's meeting, I expressed regret that we were unable to talk about CERT at the RARSfest event. Fortunately, I was wrong! RARSfest will be held on Saturday, 2 April from 8 AM to3:30 PM. For those who don't know, RARSfest is an annual swap meet and vendor exhibition sponsored by the Raleigh Amateur Radio Society (RARS) and held at the state fairgrounds. RARS seems very excited to have us there. They are offering a free table in the exhibition hall on the condition that those manning the table pays for their admission. I have also heard from a RARS ham who was active with Raleigh-Wake CERT and is interested in joining our team. The only drawback is that I cannot attend as I will be traveling that day. If anyone would like to attend and talk about CERT I think we would find a very receptive audience!
