All,

Another option to composting is a worm a bin. We've been using it for 7 years and they churn out fabulous, rich, aerated soil. No smell either. Together with recycling and composting our family of 4 produces only 1.5 kitchen bags of trash a week (still a lot, but better than it used to be).

BTW, I built a 5-by5 compost bin, oh, 15 years ago, and it's still going strong. I've hardly taken anything out in all that time.
