I love my Zoysia grass. Initially, I tried plugs but they just didn't
work. Zoysia grows thick, but slow. I then purchased some sod from
SuperSod out at the Farmer's Market about five years ago and installed
it in my backyard. It took in the area that gets sunlight and I do
nothing to maintain it other than mowing, but either shade or rain
deprivation from the large elm tree overshadowing part of it has
slowly diminished the grass on the shady half of the yard. However, I
will likely resod and do a better job of fertilizing and watering it
the next time around.
Last summer, I hired Hicks Landscaping and they installed Zoysia in
the front yard. It is growing well in most areas, but I noticed the
strip along the street is getting bare where it gets direct afternoon
sun. I'm at 1322 Mordecai if you want to take a look at how it's doing.

Hey folks,
This may be a little off topic, but with the heat wave we're having

Does anyone here have experience with zoysia? If so, how do you like
it
and where'd you get it? Did you go with plugs or sod?
Thanks!
