If you see the white van mentioned below, please call 911. RPD wants to
talk to them.
I've seen this van in the neighborhood within the past few days. Has
anyone had any interactions with them?

Mark,
Please have the neighbors be on the look out for a white van with a
few subjects, it's unclear what they look like, that are going door to
door soliciting cleaning solutions/ products etc. HAVE THEM CALL 911
ASAP we need to get them identified for now and make sure they are
legitimate. Thanks!

Hello all,
I am not the owner of the parakeet but have a long history of owning birds. I have a cage and food in my possession and would love to take care of this bird if the owner is not found. Also to the principal of powell elem. I will be happy to donate the cage and food if needed. Thanks!

Unfortunately our bird friend passed away this evening. :( The adults on
the playground said it looked like it had a broken leg because it wasn't
able to walk/sit properly when they tried to catch it - so that could have
contributed. It also probably had quite a scare from the kids at recess.
My daughter gave it lots of love this evening - so it ended it's life on a
happy note. I buried it out back after I got in from my meeting
tonight. :)
Hi Lockwood Community Members!
Just another day in the life of an Elementary School Principal...
To the astonishment of our Kindergarteners and First Graders, a beautiful, light-green, parakeet visited us on our playground around 3pm today! I was able to gently corral the little dude/dudette (not sure how to tell if it's a boy or a girl?!) into a small box and my daughter (who is in first grade at Powell) insisted we get a cage/food/water until we find his/her owner. :) So, if anyone knows of someone in the community who lost light green parakeet, feel free let me know!
Until then, I'll be happily running the "Chas Miller Wild Bird Sanctuary of Lockwood". :) Thanks! Chas

Hi Neighbors,
There is a green and yellow parakeet on the playground at Powell
Elementary. We saw it at 2:00 pm. It is unharmed and flying around on the
playground equipment. I tried to catch it but was not able to. If it's
yours, I hope that you will find it!
