Any ideas on where this rocketeer lives & how to stop him from screaming thru our streets? Routinely going 60+ down Rumson thanks to our hills… Wakes up the baby too :(

I will be meeting with the head of sanitation on Monday please send me all info regarding this situation and a list of the names and addresses where this is an issue; Phillip White has usually corrected these situations right away when I bring them straight to him.

Here's the website where you can submit the complaint to the City if Raleigh. The Solid Waste Services dept handles trash/recycling pick up.

I have the same situation on King William and made a video and sent it in an email and it still happens. If the truck can pick it up from off the road, then it can surely return it off the road. I’ve seen it done fine in most neighborhoods and it was in my previous neighborhood.

Can someone tell me the site you go through when you need something taken care of as soon as possible. I have complaints about the trash pick up in our area, Peartree Lane; they leave our bends in the street both recycle and the trash bend. There are times they don't pick up our trash at all. My husband and I both have called and complained and nothing happens, my husband was told they would send someone to pick up the trash, they never camel to pick it up. I'm really tired of their service. Is this service handled by the City of Raleigh or a private service?
Thanks everyone and have a wonderful safe holiday.

Hello! I heard with the loss of (2) of our long-standing grocery stores (Kroger) there may be a replacement of those to another chain of stores (Publix's). A little bit of history on this chain it was founded in 1930 by Mr. George W. Jenkins in Winter Havens, Florida and it is one of the fastest growing employee-owned companies in the U. S. in 2005 the Co. reached it's 1000th store. There are stores in FL., GA., SC., AL., TENN. most are on the Southern East coast of course why not NC.? I will stay on top of this and keep all informed to learn more about them go to www.publix.com<http://www.publix.com/> .

Sections of Milburnie Road Closed Due to Water Main Break
Milburnie Road is closed at its intersections with Delaney Drive and Colleton Road because of a water main break. The water main break has been repaired but the road closure is expected to continue the remainder of the day as crews complete cleanup work.
Detour routes have been posted:
• Eastbound traffic on Milburnie Road at Delaney Drive is being detoured north on Delaney Drive to Glascock Road and then right on Glascock Road to access Raleigh Boulevard;
• Westbound traffic on Milburnie Road at Colleton Road is being detoured north on Colleton Road to Glascock Road and then left on Glascock Road to access Raleigh Boulevard.
Raleigh Boulevard at Milburnie Road remains open to both southbound and northbound through traffic, though turn lanes onto Milburnie Road are closed.
