• ALERT: The City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services Department is working today, Feb. 14, to complete any missed garbage and recycling collections from Wednesday, Feb. 12. After these collections are complete, the Department will suspend operations for the day due to closures at the East Wake Transfer Station and the South Wake Landfill. These facilities are expected to reopen Saturday, Feb. 15. Therefore, garbage and recycling routes for Thursday, Feb. 13 will run on Saturday, Feb. 15 and routes for Friday, Feb. 14 will run on Monday, Feb. 17. Customers are reminded to set out their carts no later than 7 a.m. on their day of collection and to leave carts at the curb until they have been serviced. All yard waste collections have been suspended until Tuesday, Feb. 18, as garbage and recycling collections receive first priority in the current circumstances. The Solid Waste Services Department thanks all customers for their patience and understanding.
