Hi neighbors,
Many people in the area have commented about the trash and other debris
in the stream along Locke between North King Charles and Bertie. Now is
your chance to help clean it up! Come on
out on Saturday April 28 from 10:00 to 2:00 to help with the Stream and Street
cleanup on Locke Lane. This effort is scheduled to coincide with the NCDOT 2012 Spring
Litter Sweep (April 14-28). We are also working with the Adopt-a-Stream
program to provide materials and
support for the cleanup effort. This is a great way to meet some more of your
neighbors and help make the neighborhood a better place.
There is also an opportunity to win cash prizes!! Pepsico in conjunction
with the Spring Litter Sweep is holding a contest to find the most
unusual litter. Cash prizes for the most
unusual litter items go all the way up to $250! What a great way to put some
extra change in your pocket while helping a good cause at the same time.
Where and when:
- Saturday April 28 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Meeting location will be at the corner of Bertie and Locke. Ask for
