As I walk my dog around the neighborhood, I notice that most folks are doing their best to keep the actual sidewalks clear. There is, in many places, debris piled up between the sidewalk and road, where the city suggests stuff to be picked up is put. Those that have just not done anything at all are probably not receiving ( or at any rate reading) these e-mails.
I appreciate the concern for the kids (I've told mine not to wear flip-flops around here), but for some families, it's been a truly overwhelming few weeks. We're doing the best we can. Have patience.
In the mean-time, if anyone has time, contacting the city about the few houses on which nothing at all has been done would probably be constructive.
