If anyone has an iphone/ ipad there is a handy free app called 5-0 Radio (Pro is $2) that carries Wake and Raleigh PD scanner frequencies: http://www.smartestapple.com/ or search the app store for 5-0.

It's a great app, with all the codes and chat translations for us citizens. There is also a record feature.

Chatter sounds like six officers are checking for something in the drainage ditches, with a K-9 unit requested for an article search. Reporting up to 20 blood gang members congregated and a possible 10-32, person with gun. Crowd was dispersed, but officers are having difficulties with their radios due to dropped signals, so now they are using their phones.

Like Sue said it is a popular lunch break spot for youthful recreational users…

Police are at both entrances to the greenway on Crabtree by Remington
Rd. and by Somerset Rd. This is by the small park that recently had the
playground updated.
