Hello neighbours,
I wanted to share a helpful recommendation I received from someone on our
block—Jack . I had him come by to clean and inspect the chimney at both my
home and my mom’s, and I was very happy with the service. He was thorough,
efficient, and even made a few helpful adjustments to improve airflow.
Jack is professional and experienced, and it really shows in the quality of
his work. Booking was easy, and he offers straightforward, flat-rate
pricing. If it’s been a while since you’ve had your chimney cleaned—or if
you’ve never done it—I highly recommend reaching out. It’s a great way to
improve safety and ensure your system is running efficiently.
Hi Neighbors!
We plan on having our annual air duct cleaning. I wanted to see if anyone
else is interested. He would cut us a deal if more people sign up. So it
would be $200 instead of the $400. We will get the dryer cleaning free as
well.
We have used him previously as well and they did a wonderful job! Please
let me know if you’re interested and I can schedule a day or two with them
for our neighborhood.
Feel free to text at 786-927-4854.
Hi folks! Mark Turner here.
I've been getting emails again from this list - mostly spammers.
Does anyone know who was in charge of the list? Was it Deborah Ford or
did/does someone else manage it?
Hope everyone's doing well!
Regards,
Mark Turner

| Just received this email from Dwayne Patterson with the city's Community Services Division about the door-to-door solicitation that has been going on. "It has come to our attention that there is a man visiting various neighborhoods with Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) information cards and he is soliciting money from the residents. To date we have receive four (4) such reports. Please do not give this person any money! While ABCD is the citizen engagement model we use for effective community building, it does not include monetary solicitation from residents. This individual is not a City of Raleigh staff member and city staff will never go door-to-door soliciting money for any reason. If you encounter this individual, please do not engage in his rhetoric and do not give him any money. However, I encourage you to notify your neighbors via your customary methods. Further action beyond that is totally up to you for your personal and community safety. We thank you for your service to your neighborhood and the greater Raleigh community.Serving with Excellence, Dwayne C. Did everyone see this? I saw it on Facebook just now:

wanted to give you a heads up..there have been 8 break-ins in our
neighborhood in the last 13 days. i interrupted a break in at my home
Tuesday morning. Black male early teens rang doorbell, i did not answer.
next thing i knew he had ridden his bike around the back of my house and
was trying to look in bedroom window. i chased him off wielding a large
baseball bat , screaming and cursing. However, my neighbor 's home across
the street was broken into . The kid i ran off was around 5'6' , short hair

by other neighbors riding up and down the street...casing the homes.
According to police, these break ins are happening during the day..the
perps are looking for money, jewelry, small electronics, etc.
Someone named Matt Horton (309 Lord Berkely) also commented that his house
was broken into the same day. He said the perps got a "9mm out of box" a
Mac Book Pro and some other stuff.
So, a 9mm is a gun, right? Awesome.
Brian's episode happened at 11am on Tuesday, Matt's was after 11. *Everyone
who works from home, please be on the lookout and be prepared to call the
cops*. Both Brian and Matt reported it, but apparently we need to be extra
vigilant.
Dog walkers, be vigilant too! I would recommend taking your phones with you
so you can call 911 if you see anything/anyone suspicious. I will do just
that.
