Thank you 3 for the replies. The house is a rental, I'm not sure if it has an alarm system...it has a Matrix sign out front, but I don't know if the alarm is on. If that sign didn't deter them I don't think an actual alarm would either. I did not see the perps, but someone in the neighborhood did, and they didn't call the police! This is the sort of thing that needs to be addressed...the common sense that if you see someone running by a house with thei shirts off filled with goods, 911 should be called. I didn't know about the break in until 24 hours later, and I assumed they called the cops. The point is everyone (and Vic), that this message board is about communication and getting our issues heard so that higher authority (police) can do something about it. There are constantly thug types walking up and down Milburnie, late into the night....we obviously don't need to email each other about every unsavory character walking around at night, because that would be presumptuous, but after having 2 break ins on the block, during the daytime, in less than a month, I think that warrants some discussion and consideration.
