I don't know if anyone saw today, but our elderly neighbor got robbed. She is almost 70 years old and deaf, lives alone with no family to care for her, and someone knocked on her door, knocked her down and stole her keys, wallet, money, checks, everything. This was in the middle of the day...around noon. Her neighbors, Carol and KC, have taken it upon themselves to help her....realizing she has no one looking after her. They have called Meals on Wheels, the SS office, her bank, etc. This woman needs our help. Her name is Ellen, she's very shy and a recluse (for obvious reasons) and is slow to trust, but she needs our help. Her house is a bit in disarray, she doesn't have much food, her phone for the deaf doesn't seem to be working. Their pastor is changing the locks on her door tonight. She signs ok, not sure if her reading is great. Carol and KC live at 2476 Milburnie Rd, Ellen lives directly next door, to the right (looking from the road). They are stepping up to make sure she is safe and taken care of since she has no one. It would be very nice if we could have more officers on the street near her house, in the day time as well as the night....they robbed her in broad daylight. Also, Matt, could you please add Carol Baez to the community watch email list, she asked me to have you put her on. She doesn't have internet, but she gets email on her phone. She would like to know the dates of the community watch meetings as well.
