We have attempted to get the City's attention on these properties

The 2308 Milburnie house is going through an "unsafe building"
process. The group of properties, including 2335 Stevens, recently
went through foreclosure and are now under bank ownership.

The last time I strolled over to 2308 Milburnie (or
whatever property is
attached to that garage/storage unit thing) the door was wide open.
Actually, no I take that back. The door was missing. The building was
obviously being used as a storage facility for Team Home Buyer. It is full
of the exact same building supplies that are in each of their houses (mine
being one of them.) Can we have Habitat for Humanity (or similar company)
some take all of the stuff out? I realize this will just leave an empty
building, but all that stuff in there just seems like a bad idea.

We as neighbors need to figure out what we can do to combat this. I know
we've got the neighborhood watch, but what else can we do? There have to be
more aggressive steps we can take to get the violence out of our
neighborhood. I recently asked police to step up patrols on my street due to
some drug-related activity I've seen just in the last few weeks.

Just now -
Full round of shots fired. Was SO loud, I knew it had to be close.
Seconds later, I saw two dudes jump the fence from 2304/2308 Milburnie into
the yard of 2335 Stevens. Both were young black men, one had
shoulder-length dreadlocks. They turned and ran down Stevens Road, toward
Chatham.
I called 911, and saw another neighbor doing what I assume was the same
thing. Police came within minutes, but the suspects were long gone.
This is too close for me. Shots were fired at this same location, what,
two-three months ago? Just seems like things are getting worse. Not sure
how much longer I want to stay.
