Scavenger Hunt Challenge
Family Edition
Thursday August 15 FREE

Sign up now to compete in the second museum-wide family scavenger hunt during the Museum's Science Thursday evening programming.  The Scavenger Hunt Challenge is limited to the first 30 teams registered.
  • Priority registration will be offered to Friends members online here through Thursday, August 1.
  • Non-members can purchase or renew your membership here to enter now or sign up after August 1 if space is still available. 
For one hour, family teams will roam through the Museum including the Nature Research Center wing looking for answers to questions and performing short experiments - with the winning teams being announced in the SECU Daily Planet Theater at the conclusion.
Prizes from Great Outdoor Provision and the Museum Store will be awarded to winning teams. Participation in this scavenger hunt is limited to new teams.
FAQs
Is there a limit to the number of people on a family team?
Teams should include no more than 6 people.
Are there age restrictions?
All ages of family members are welcome; however, each team must include someone 18 or older.
What is a family?
Team members should be a family in spirit if not by DNA or legal documentation.  This event is for families and family-like teams only.
Can my scout troop participate?
The August 15 activities are not for organized groups; however, individual families from your troop can participate.  Future Scavenger Hunt Challenges will include the GROUP Edition (scout troops, Y-guides, etc), TEEN Edition (teams of 13-19 year olds) and COLLEGE Edition (sororities, fraternities, and other college-affiliated groups).
