Subject: Milburnie Road Traffic Calming Recommendations

Greetings:

I attended the March 4, 2014 Council meeting at which the City's proposed plan was presented.  I shared some comments at that meeting.  This email is to offer additional information and cost associated with a revised plan.  I plan to send this to the other Council members but desire to share it with you first.  If you wish to contact me about this letter before I send it to other Council members, you may contact me by phone at 919-834-4875 or reply to this email by 8:00AM March 20, 2014..  If you desire to share this information with the Transportation Planning Department, I do not object.  They might adjust the options cost to account for unknown requirements.  My conversation with some of the street property owners and residents revealed that they did not expect anything as proposed and do not like it.  My letter was prepared to submit positive information and not to criticize their plan in a negative manner.  I have been informed that the East
Citizens Advisory Council has not voted on the proposed plan although presentations have been shared.  I hope this is helpful in selecting the best solution to correct the speeding concerns. Thank you for you efforts concerning this concern.
