Fair enough. Thanks for the response, Bill.

So, we just put a hold on all until after we transition to the new site (at least the end of the year). I think you make a good case of CAC, but that URL may have to be tweaked a little. I'll pass it along to Beth Stagner in Web Services, her department creates them, and we'll revisit it when we get closer to live launch in December/January.

Good morning, Mr. Fuller.
At last night's Raleigh CAC meeting, it occurred to me that it would be
useful to have an easy-to-remember URL that we give people who want to
know about CACs.
Would it be possible for you to create a webserver redirect for:
http://cac.raleighnc.gov
... that would send people to this page, please?
http://www.raleighnc.gov/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_0_306_202_0_43/h…
This of course could be easily updated when the city's new website goes
into production, as the cac.raleighnc.gov URL would stay the same.
Thanks!

Hey y'all!
I created a plugin that adds the City of Raleigh's website search engine
to the toolbar of Firefox or Internet Explorer 7. I think it's easier
finding content on the city's website this way.
If you'd like to try it out, go to this page:
http://www.eastraleigh.org/?page_id=6
... and click on the link near the bottom that says "Click here to add
the City of Raleigh’s search engine to your browser’s toolbar."
I may need to adjust the plugin once the new website goes into
production but that should be a simple thing.
Feel free to share with others and/or post to the city website itself:
the plugin is in the public domain.
Comments/feedback welcome!

Hi everyone,
Phil Poe brought to my attention recently that there's a primer book on the
Board of Adjustment. The Community Services Department may be interested in
ordering copies for chairs to reference. Is anyone interested in getting a
copy?
They're fairly inexpensive--$17 a piece. I imagine they would be paid for
out of our $15K annual budget. Let me know.
