Hi folks,
I set up a poll to help us schedule our June retreat. It's very easy to do:
1) Go to the link below, either by clicking on it or copying and pasting it
into your browser.
http://www.doodle.com/yr4ts98x5fvbcwpc
2) Fill our your name and click on the check box to indicate dates/times
when you're available.
3) Click the "Save" button.
You can then go back to the poll and see your input and everyone else's.
Ain't technology neat?
Please make sure that at least one person from each CAC fills out their
availability, so we can ensure 100% representation!
Thanks,
Ana Duncan Pardo

Did everyone else get this? The recipient field only shows my address, so I
want to be sure others received it as well.
Would anyone like to help out with a CAC info table at this year's
Neighborhood Exchange? It would be a nice opportunity to talk with folks
about the work we all do.

Subject: Invitation to exhibit at 7th Annual Raleigh Neighborhood Exchange
To: Ana Duncan Pardo <acpardo(a)gmail.com>
Dear Chairpersons,
It is my pleasure to extend an invitation to you to participate with the
Neighborhood Services Division of the City of Raleigh Community Services
Department at the upcoming Raleigh Neighborhood Exchange. This annual
conference is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the McKimmon
Center on the campus of NC State University.
I would like to invite you to be exhibitors at this event as an opportunity
to expand awareness of your board or commission. This is a great
opportunity to educate the public about the services you render and to
network with our Raleigh citizens. There is no cost to exhibit. We are
planning for 200 participants.
If you are interested in participating with us this year, please provide
contact information to the event coordinator, Charlene Willard, at
charlene.willard(a)raleighnc.gov or you may call her direct at 996-5718. Our
deadline for notification of participation is Thursday, May 6th.
Thanks so much and I hope you all will utilize this opportunity to educate
and inform our citizens.
With appreciation,
*Kristen Rosselli**

FYI.
A Public Hearing on the UDO will be held at the end of the Joint Council/PC evening Zoning session beginning at 6:30 PM in City Hall Council Chambers. The focus will be on the Coding Approach recommendations of the Diagnostic and Approach Report Section 9. Hopefully, some of you have read the report and have commented on line. This is a good opportunity to highlight your key concerns to the Council and Planning Commission directly. I assume Phil Poe will attend and comment as our RCAC UDO interface prime.

Hi folks,
Got an important network security announcement I'd like to make as y'all
might get strange spam mails from your friends who use Gmail.
In the past two days two of my friends have had strange emails sent from
their Gmail accounts without their permission. Apparently spammers have
figured out how they can "hijack" accounts to send spam emails to an
unsuspecting person's contacts.
Google is aware of this issue and provides tools with which you can
monitor your account. Please see the following link on the "Google Blog"
for information on how to protect your account:

Several years ago, the Historic Glenwood-Brooklyn Neighborhood Associated
founded the Downtown Appetite 4 Art to help support the Boys & Girls Club of
Wake County. This year the Association is teaming up with the Young
Advocates and Raleigh Kiwanis Club to create a bigger and better event. If
you're looking for something to do downtown this weekend, consider this very
worthwhile fundraiser.and the food and drink options are terrific.

The Downtown Living Advocates (DLA) is a neighborhood association for
residents living in the downtown business district. It just celebrated its
first anniversary. These residents are eager to meet their neighbors in the
surrounding neighborhoods. If you have time, add this event to your
calendar. You can learn more about DLA by visiting their website
