Dear members of various EastRaleigh lists.
The hosting provider that I have used to host the EastRaleigh.Org
website and lists is closing up shop this week. I am in the midst of
migrating the lists to a new provider and have full backups of the site.
During the migration process you might experience rejected emails to the
mailing lists or other snafus. These issues should only be temporary and
should all be resolved within a few days.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Feel free to call or
email me if you have any questions.
Your list administrator,
Mark Turner

At last night's RCAC meeting, I agreed to forward the announcement about
Monday's meeting of the Wake County Delegates in the NC General Assembly.
This announcement is provided below.
I have also attached two documents prepared by Ken Bowers that talk about
House Bill 150. I encourage you to reach out to your City Councilors to see
how you can support them in their efforts to preserve various elements of
NCODs and the UDO and uphold the City's lease of Dorothea Dix Park.

Subj: [DDNA] Fwd: Wake Delegation Public Hearing
This coming Monday, the Wake Delegation Public Hearing is not restricted
to any one topic and anyone can register to speak. You may address any
legislative issue that concerns you (Dorothea Dix contract, health care, HB150,
etc.). Just be sure to sign up - see information below.
Many years ago, the Wake Delegation held public hearings open to any Wake
County resident before the Monday evening legislative sessions began. It
was great way to express concerns about bills already passed or currently up
for discussion and passage, and to present new issues that individuals
believed the Legislature should address.
Please come and voice your issues/concerns at this meeting. This is your
opportunity to heard and to develop a "good for North Carolina" political
relationship with your Legislator. And remember the old sayings: "Nothing
ventured is nothing gained" and "He has the right to criticize who has the
heart to help." (Sorry, the old high school teacher in me could not resist
including those two sayings.)
Hope to see you Monday afternoon at the Legislature!

Subject: Longleaf School of the Arts granted its final charter & is
accepting student apps
Dear Mr. Allen,
If I have not used up all of my requests, I wonder if I might impose on you
one more time.
Longleaf School of the Arts has been granted its final charter and we are
now accepting student applications. I have attached the most recent press
release. It contains information about our next parent meeting, and a link
to the applications.
Would it be possible to send this out to all of the CACs? (Like you did the
last time?)
Thank you so much for your assistance.
