Hi transit supporter!
The election is coming up quickly and the Moving Wake County Forward transit referendum campaign needs your help!
Join us Saturday, October 16 at 3pm to show your support of the referendum for public transportation. You'll be part of some awesome, iconic photos! Every day Wake County grows by 64 new people, so WakeUP is getting 64 people & cars together to take photos & videos showing what that growth means for our community.
Run down of the day:
- 3pm: Meet at state govt parking lot, 109 E Jones St, downtown Raleigh. Right across from State Archives here. We'll take some pics of all our cars on one side, and all of us in a small area the size of the bus (see pic below). Normally we discourage driving, but this'll be a powerful picture!
- 3:30pm: Bounce around downtown taking a few more pics showing what happens when 64 ppl show up somewhere!
- 4:30pm: End at the wonderful Berkeley Cafe for a drink!
