Fair enough. Thanks for the response, Bill.

Hey Mark,
We actually have a moratorium on tiny URLs right now. We get so many requests and it was
becoming a real issue. So, we just put a hold on all until after we transition to the new
site (at least the end of the year). I think you make a good case of CAC, but that URL may
have to be tweaked a little. I'll pass it along to Beth Stagner in Web Services, her
department creates them, and we'll revisit it when we get closer to live launch in
December/January.
Thanks, Bill

Subject: Create a CAC webserver redirect?
Good morning, Mr. Fuller.
At last night's Raleigh CAC meeting, it occurred to me that it would be
useful to have an easy-to-remember URL that we give people who want to
know about CACs.
Would it be possible for you to create a webserver redirect for:
http://cac.raleighnc.gov
... that would send people to this page, please?
http://www.raleighnc.gov/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_0_306_202_0_43/h…
This of course could be easily updated when the city's new website goes
into production, as the
cac.raleighnc.gov URL would stay the same.
Thanks!

Mark Turner
