I sent this out to the East CAC today but thought others might want to
know about it.
I'll be attending this training next month. Hope to see you there!

In the aftermath of the tornado, some of you may have seen the folks in
our neighborhoods wearing CERT vests and wielding chainsaws like
nobody's business. These folks are volunteer citizens like you and me,
only they've been through free training to know what to do in an emergency!
This emergency training is free and open to anyone! A new training class
is coming up next month, consisting of 20 hours of first aid training,
hazard mitigation, search and rescue, community preparedness, fire
chemistry, and other cool topics!
If you'd like to sign up for the next course (beginning July 20th),
contact Reyna Nishimura at <Reyna.Nishimura(a)raleighnc.gov> or Fin Gold
at <rwcertinfo(a)gmail.com> (mobile 919-518-5117) and they'll get you
signed up. You, too, can be a neighborhood hero!
