Subject: CAC Meetings
Hello Mr. Patterson,
I am a member of the Wake Voice for Animals and our mission is to research, identify,
inform and lobby for programs or improvements that will benefit companion animals in Wake
County. We support efforts of rescue groups and organizations that respect and value the
human-animal relationship. We embrace the No-Kill philosophy and believe in each
animal's right to live.
The purpose of my writing you is to ask if our group might attend some of the CAC meetings
in Raleigh to solicit citizens' concerns and recommendations regarding pet
overpopulation in our communities. It is a growing concern and we want to know how we can
involve them in making Raleigh a better and more humane place for our animals.
We need to develop community systems to bring about more responsible pet ownership to
reduce the number of unwanted animals. I believe with the help of advisory councils such
as the CACs, we can make life better for the homeless animals in Wake County.
Any assistance you can lend is greatly appreciated.
Patricia Archer
