The list of prohibited conditions contains most of the ones we try to get our rezoning applicants to include since they are the issues most likely to affect surrounding neighbors and the "look and feel" of the project. Personally, I have significant problems with this Text Change recommendation on a number of counts. Perhaps we need the Planning Department at our next RCAC Meeting before the public hearing to help us understand the intent and let us debate some of our concerns.

RCAC Members,

 

Please find attached a copy of TC-10 relative to suggested revisions to the rezoning process.  This is a City-initiated text change proposing revisions to the rezoning process with a focus on conditional use rezonings.  The text change has been authorized for public hearing on January 19, 2010.

 

The Department of City Planning would like to receive your comments approximately one month before the public hearing date.  This would allow incorporation of any suggestions you may have for improving the revised process. 

 

Your comments should be forwarded to Greg Hallam at Greg.hallam@ci.raleigh.nc.us on or before December 16.
