Ana Workshop: Principles for CAC Redistricting Special Guest Kristen Roselli, Community Services Director 5:30 p.m., Feb. 17th, 2010 Room 305 of city hall (to be confirmed) Part 1) Review the proposal laid out by Dwayne at the January meeting--is everyone in agreement with the process? Part 2) What do chairs feel should be the guiding principles, if any, for the creation of new districts and the changing of boundaries for the existing districts? What factors do chairs feel need to be considered, and in what way? Examples mentioned so far include: - other existing districts like fire, police, etc. - how to define natural boundaries - demographic diversity - neighborhood unification ***Note: It's especially important that representatives from Umstead, North and Northeast be present to give feedback at this discussion, since their CACs will be affected by this process first. February RCAC Meeting 7 p.m., Feb 17th, 2010 Council Chambers 1) Welcome and Introductions 2) Minutes 3) Update on UDO - Phil Poe will give an update on the progress of the UDO advisory workgroup, and give a brief presentation on the UDO feedback website he created for citizens to use. Discuss how chairs would like to give feedback on the newly released Zoning Code Diagnostic and Approach Report. 4) New City Website Preview - Beth Stagner, Web Services Manager for the city, will give us a preview of the new City of Raleigh website. 5) Roundtable - what's new in your district? 6) New business/discuss agenda ideas for March meeting 7) Adjournment
