Mary Belle,
According to the City Clerk's Office, the Joint City Council/Planning Commission
Public Hearings are not placed on the Council Agenda. The Joint Public Hearing was
legally advertised, and consistent with past practice, placed on the Planning
Department's website under public hearings.

In addition, the Planning Department informed the RCAC in December about the pending text
changes and met again last week to educate the RCAC on both text changes. The Planning
Department was invited to speak to the District D Neighborhood Alliance this past
Saturday. TC-1-10 was discussed during that meeting. Finally, the City Attorney appeared
on RTN's City Show to talk about the TC-1-10. I understand your concern and we will
continue to find additional ways to get the word out.

Gentlemen,
Why are TC-1-10 and TC-2-10/Rezoning Review Process not listed on tonight's agenda?
Does this mean they will not be heard tonight or are they are to be heard tonight? How
many people who are interested in those two text changes have gone to the city web site,
not seen them listed on tonight's meeting and will not attend the meeting?
Because there is no mention in TC-2-10/Rezoning Review Process of the CAC's being
involved in the rezoning process, I am very concerned that many people will learn after
the fact that they have very little or no say in what happens in their neighborhoods.
That will be a sin in my book and will result in greater distrust of government. No
wonder many people no longer vote in elections.
