Ana, thanks for raising this concern. While I'm delighted that Chief
Dolan wants to keep us in the loop, the Saturday before Christmas is not
a good time to meet. I'll have relatives in from out of town by then.
Would any of these options work?
* If it's not urgent, having a presentation at our January meeting.
* If time is of the essence, update the chairs in writing so we we can
review the information on our own schedules. This would also make it
easier to share with our CAC members. A liberal use of cut & paste plus
linking could produce an informative document that wouldn't take too
much time to prepare.

I feel confident that the RCAC chairs would very much like to meet
with RPD, but I'm concerned that the meeting date suggested by Chief
Dolan may not work for folks due to its proximity to the holiday. I
know I can be there, but even if a handful of us attend, it's a far
cry from representing the opinions and concerns of the 18 CAC
districts. Is there any flexibility as to when we can meet with Chief
Dolan? I'd like to ensure that as many interested RCAC
representatives as possible will be able to attend.
We have been frustrated that city-organized meetings that are billed
specifically for RCAC chairs to attend are sometimes being scheduled
without input from the RCAC regarding the group's availability (recent
case-in-point: Planning's RCAC listening session on the UDO). Dwayne
(and Kristen), do you have any suggestions for pro-actively avoiding
this issue in the future?
