Jim Sughrue, spokesman for the police department, says officers looking for potential suspects located an individual walking across Brookside Drive toward Wake Forest Road. Officers had a "voluntary encounter" with the man and located drug paraphernalia and burglary tools on him. The suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Michael Green, broke free from officers and fled. Green was located near Atlantic Boulevard and Whitaker Mill. Green has been linked to the following incidents: * 311 West Whitaker Mill Road * 409 West Alcott Dr * 401 W.
