Of those 99 residential burglaries the East CAC was a victim of 22 of those burglaries. With that being said only 4 of those burglaries took place since you as a community have been calling in suspicious persons, leaving me your vacation dates, and allowing us to use your residences. Since we’ve teamed up I have targeted burglaries in the area which began around December 5th. Over all I think 4 burglaries in a 2 week period, compared to 18 in the previous two weeks, is a very impressive decrease and it is due in part to the folks who live in the CAC being more proactive. Thank you again! Many of the burglaries that I have noticed are happening along Milburnie Rd, Glascock St, and Colleton Rd. Most of the houses are corner houses at intersections where it’s not unusual for someone to stop for a brief period of time. This doesn’t mean the rest of the community can let their guard down it just means that those who live in the areas I mentioned should be more aware of who is stopping and going in their areas. Remember 911 is a good tool so let us determine whether or not someone is just lost or is casing your homes. Remember to always share info on suspicious persons and vehicles with your neighbors and on the list serve. You all do a great job at that anyway but I just wanted to send a reminder! J.A.
