When's the next meeting? We in Victoria Place need to step up our community
watch game, especially after the shooting vandalism (cars, signs) in our
neighborhood Sunday.
Thanks!

Some of you may have read on the East CAC board (I think) that one of our
finest area citizens (not) dumped a dog off on Stevens Road. I saw the dog
this morning, and I called Animal Control. An officer came out, but as of
1:00 ish today had not found the dog.
The dog is very cute. And fast. He/she is a long-haired terrier type,
with white/gray hair.

There was also a shooting in Victoria Place last night near the corner
of Dickens and Calvert. Car windows were shot out and the Victoria
Place sign sustained some damage, but at least no one (that we know
of) was hurt. Busy night for shootings unfortunately! Call the cops if
you hear or see anything that is suspicious!

Thank you, Matt - we will tune in for sure! My husband and I have been watching the news in horror, talking about how recently our son, a young black male, went for a run with his hoodie up due to the cold. At the time we sort of joked about it, saying "I hope someone doesn't call the police on him for taking a jog." But after watching the parents of that child in Florida, we have shuddered to think it is actually a more serious issue. It's probably a really good time for us all to step back and figure out how to keep each other safe and informed without fostering a tense environment in our wonderful neighborhoods.

All,
Enloe is hosting a program called VIP for VIP (see information below).
In addition to opening this up to the community, they are looking for
a volunteer to play a small role in the afternoon accident recreation.
Please let Matt Rice (mrice1(a)wcpss.net) know if you would be available
and interested in helping.

I wanted to share information pertaining to a program that we will
have here at Enloe on Wednesday, 21 March for the Seniors.
It is called VIP for VIP (Vehicle Injury Prevention for a Very
Important Person). It will start @ 9:15 AM with a presentation in the
auditorium. The afternoon session (2:00 PM) will be outside in the
back parking lot (by the baseball field). There will be emergency
response vehicles w/sirens, etc... The organization is recreating an
auto accident so the students can see what it looks, smells and feels
like.
I would like to extend an invitation to the members of the Enloe
Community to attend either session.
Also, I would like to see if someone from the community would
volunteer to participate in the afternoon program with a small part.
I am in need of a jogger who would first come upon the accident and
make the initial contact to emergency services. If someone in the
community would like to participate, please have them email me soon.
The would need to be here at the school around 1:00 PM and could leave
after their part is over (or stay to watch the program).
Thanks!
