The bill is expected to receive final House approval soon.   Read more about S817 here.   Raleigh City Council approves transportation bond for October ballot   The Raleigh City Council voted Tuesday in favor of putting a $75 million transportation bond on the ballot in October.  This is the largest proposed bond referendum in Raleigh's history and would fund about 15 road projects as well as some sidewalk and traffic calming measures.  The details of the proposed bond including which project will be funded will be discussed at the Council's June 24th meeting.  Transit improvements may be part of the initiative. Morrisville's Planning Ahead for Transit!   Morrisville's Town Council could approve a plan next week for the new McCrimmon Transit Small Area Plan.  This plan includes a mixed-use development and the blueprint for a future rail station.
