Youth Football
Chain Crew
Volunteers will assist with
practices/games and other assigned duties by site
directors. All volunteers are required to complete a
volunteer application and pass a background check before
volunteering. Volunteers must be 16 years or older to
participate.
Youth
Cheerleading Coach
Looking for individuals interested
in being a volunteer youth, noncompetitive cheerleading
coach for girls ages 7-13 for the upcoming fall season.
Practices are a 2-4 day commitment before games begin, and
1-2 day a week once games begin. Must complete
a coaching application and clear a background check in
order to volunteer.
Youth Fast Pitch
Softball Coach
Looking for individuals interested
in being a volunteer youth softball coach for girls ages
11-17 for the upcoming fall season. Time commitment is three
days a week. Practices will begin in August and games will
begin in September and run through October. Must complete
a coaching application and clear a background check in
order to volunteer.
Youth Baseball
Coach
Looking for individuals interested
in being a volunteer youth baseball coach for boys ages
10-16 for the upcoming fall season.Time commitment is three
days a week. Practices will begin in the end of July with
games starting in the end of August and run through October.
Must complete a coaching application and clear a
background check in order to volunteer.
Trail Maintenance
at Ross Andrews Learning Space
Volunteers will assist with
removing vegetation and laying down mulch for a trail and
learning circle on Saturday, 8/23. The Ross Andrew's
Learning Platform is dedicated to environmental education
and will be a place for learning and reflection in the
Walnut Creek Wetland. Event is rain or shine and held at the
Walnut Creek Wetland Center.
Historic Method
Day
Help us celebrate the history
of Method on Saturday, 8/23. The event will include family
activities such as games, crafts, information booths, book
bag give away, food, music DJ and information on the
Historical Method Community. Volunteers are needed to assist
with set up/clean up, games, booths, registration table
and crafts table.
Back to School
Back Pack Supply Drive
As summer camp comes to a close, it
is that time of year to start thinking about the upcoming
school year. We are looking for volunteers from our local
community to donate school supplies to benefit our local
disadvantaged youth! Interested individuals can volunteer
two ways: donating supplies from 4pm-7pm on Friday, 8/22 or
sorting the donated supplies from 9am-11am on Saturday, 8/23
at Sgt. Courtney T. Johnson Community Center.
NFL Punt, Pass & Kick
The NFL Punt, Pass & Kick (PPK)
program is a national skills competition for boys and girls,
between the ages of 6 and 15, to compete separately against
their peers. This special event will take place on Tuesday,
8/26 at Laurel Hills Community Center. Volunteers are needed
to help with registration, on field activities and awards.
The time commitment will be from 4:30-8:00 pm, and
volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
