Beginning April 3, all Thursday evening science programs will take place in the
Museum's Nature Research Center. Please use the entrance at 121 West Jones Street.
Celebrate Earth Month with four weeks of special events. Each Thursday will have a
different conservation-related topic. Come see exhibitors, listen to talks and participate
in activities and learn more about ways YOU can make the Earth a better place!

The Robot vs the Aztec Mummy (1958)
Opening reception for "Seeking the Crescent," by Dale McEntire from 6-8pm in the
Nature Art Gallery. The western NC artist says his new exhibition is pure and beautiful
and believes that there is an essential quality in nature that has a spiritual
essence. More

Prairie Ridge Ecostation
Chimney Swift Tower Groundbreaking

Free
Historically Chimney Swifts have used chimneys for nesting and roosting, in return
consuming great numbers of flying insects. However, swift populations are now declining,
due to shortage of available chimneys. The ground breaking of the new chimney construction
will include bird walks, nest walks and family nature activities. For more information
