I heard with the loss of (2) of our long-standing grocery stores (Kroger) there may be a replacement of those to another chain of stores (Publix's). A little bit of history on this chain it was founded in 1930 by Mr. George W. Jenkins in Winter Havens, Florida and it is one of the fastest growing employee-owned companies in the U. S. in 2005 the Co. reached it's 1000th store. There are stores in FL., GA., SC., AL., TENN. most are on the Southern East coast of course why not NC.?
