The Downtown Living Advocates (DLA) released a position paper on the high speed rail proposal this afternoon. Hopefully, DLA’s work will help you with your assessment of the different options. I encourage you to think globally about this issue, so we achieve the best possible outcome for the City of Raleigh. Sifting through all the information related to high speed, regional and local passenger rail systems and freight rail systems is a daunting task, but a project of this significance really deserves our attention.
