Somebody ditched a busted lawnmower along the banks of the creek on Locke. Saw it this morning. It appears to be missing a wheel. I was going to grab it and hang onto it. There's a guy who collects scrap metal who might want it, unless anyone else wants it.

I just called 911 on some fireworks. Seem to be coming from 600? Block of
North King Charles and/or the problem house on Milburnie (2300 block?)
Been going on non-stop for the last 15 minutes or so.
If you hear/see them, I urge you to call them in, as well.

Haha definitely not being cryptic. I don't see any way that poop could have gotten near my front door unless and owner literally walked their dog up to my house, which would be pretty damn rude. Just wondering if anyone had noticed a loose dog or stray in my area.

We live on the corner of Milburnie and Donnelly....has anyone seen a loose dog in the area? For the past 2 days in a row we have found what looks like dog poop in front of our house and it is definitely not our dog's. Today, it wasn't there in the morning, and I just took our dog out and it was there, fresh. It's very close to our front door, so its not someone walking their dog (unless they're walking up in our yard!)
Hey neighbors,
This is a friendly meeting reminder. We'll be meeting at the Enloe High School Media Center on Tuesday June 5 at 7:00 PM. Let's start the summer off with a Longview Park Community Watch meeting! We have a fair amount to cover this meeting. We'll review and vote on our area maps, determine our approach to neighborhood watch signs and window decals and talk about summer travel home safety tips. In one of our recent area leader meetings, the idea of a summer social activity at the Longview Pool came up. I think it would be another good way for the neighborhood to socialize while taking advantage of a neighborhood resource. Anybody interested in such an activity? Let's talk about at the meeting tomorrow night. I hope to see everyone there.
Kind Regards,Matt Leary
Hi neighbors,
Here's a quick LPCW update:
On April 28 we had a great turnout at the Street and Stream Cleanup effort on Locke Ave. Sheri Cassidy headed up this effort and did a great job partnering with students at Enloe High School and the community. There were 14 students, 2 teachers and 8 neighbors working Saturday to remove litter and debris from the streams that run along Locke Lane and Bertie Dr.
Together, we removed: * 9 tires * an ab flex exercise chair * a Honda scooter * an orange and white traffic barrel * a wooden rocking horse * a car jack * several PVC pipes * and 24 bags of trashSheri is also taking it upon herself to be the Community Watch's Adopt-a-stream coordinator. Our group is going to sponsor the creek along Locke, and will organize cleanup efforts twice a year. Be on the lookout for more information on the Adopt-a-stream effort. Great work Sheri!!
Our next meeting will be on June 5 at 7:00. The meeting will be held in the media center in Enloe High School. We will be reviewing a number of items in the meeting, so come on out and help us.
Regards,Matt Leary
